I have defragment my main drive which is segmented into two - no problems.
Analysed my second drive ok said it needed defragmenting - however it keeps
getting stuck on "3% moving file c_drive006.v2i" - all you can hear is it
ticking and ticking although task manager says it is running? Help please

Hi

Do you what that file is? Have you got a TI Navigator system installed?

The file is a Ghost or Drive Image file and is likely quite large. If he
doesn't have free space equal to the size of the single large file he will
have defragging difficulties. It just won't happen! (-:

I would first run a chkdsk - click Start - Run - type: cmd - click ok.
At the prompt type chkdsk /r then hit enter. It will probably tell you
that it can't run now but would it be okay to run on next system startup
- say yes. Restart the system and be prepared to wait 30-60 minutes for
the scan to complete. Wait for it then re-run defrag and see what
happens. Be aware though, if your disk is heavily fragmented with little
free space a large file can take a looooong time to put back together.
Good luck.
