Defining Group Policies for Windwos 2003 stand-alone server

I'm trying to create a group policy on Windows 2003
Enterprise Server that is a stand-alone box (no domain
memebership). However, the only MMC thast is available
(gpedit.msc) allows me to change it "for-all-or-for-none".
Does anyone know how to create a policy that can be
applied to a particular local group in Windows 2003
environment?
Thanks.

There is no official supported method. You might try to give deny ntfs
permissions to those users/groups that you do not want the policy to apply
to for the \windows\system32\group policy\users folder, though results on
that method have been reported as variable. --- Steve

I have been having this same problem. Did you ever
receive an answer to this question? Sure would like to
know.

Thanks,
Darrell
