Almost there...

From Defender, click on Software Explorer, now locate the program you
want to disable or remove, highlight it, then click either remove or
disable which are two buttons way over in the lower right bottom of
the window

If you are on a multi-account system, in Windows Defender startup programs,
and the Disable button is grayed out you must click on "Show for all Users".
You will then have access to the Disable button.

It took me awhile to realize that, even though I've created only one
user account here, I must still click on "Show for all Users" to access
the Disable button on some startup programs in Defender. I assume that
these are the apps that have been installed for "All Users," even though
there is currently only one user available to run them.
