The SurfSideKick parasite has invaded my computer running WinXP-SP2
fully updated. On boot, Defender reports finding SurfSideKick,
recommends RemoveAll. This I do. Shortly after, Defender pops up
telling to reboot to protect my system.
On reboot, SurfSideKick is still there, Defender knows about it,
detects it, tells me to remove it. I do. Then Defender pops up
telling to reboot.
Basically, if Defender knows about SurfSideKick, knows enough to tell
me to remove it, why doesn't it really remove it? Right now, it's
stuck in a reboot cycle, never really fixing the problem that its
detects and knows about. Won't leave me alone, keeps popping up
telling me to reboot.
Full system scan same result.
