Can I get Defender to turn on automatically when I boot in Vista. It did it
before then stopped. I tried copying a shortcut to startup but this did not
work.

Hi,

Click start and type MSCONFIG, then hit <enter>. Go to the startup tab and
enable (check) the line to load Windows Defender. Click apply/ok and reboot
to ensure it's been enabled.
