I'm running IE 6.0. I have a new Dell xps computer. When
I click on the IE icon, it takes about 40-50 seconds for
anything to happen as far as IE appearing on the screen.
When it finally does, it opens up 3 windows to 3
different pages one of which is my default page. The
other two are webpages advertising loans and jobs. How
do I get this cleared out so that only my default page is
brought up. I think this is why it's taking so long to
boot up, because of these other pages.

Thanks,
Stan

Stan, sorry there's a lot to dig through but read some of these links and
see if anything rings a bell, you can always come back for more specific
advice but I think it's probably spyware / adware and it's going off looking
for websites etc before IE gets going.
