Here's the scenario. I create a user and add:
1. A folder to the My documents folder,
2. a shortcut to the start menu -> startup folder, and
3. a folder with two files to the application data folder.
I use the profile manager (my comp->advanced->user profiles) to copy the
customize user account to the default user. Default user account now has the
3 items listed above.
I run sysprep, and image the machine, the image has the 3 items in the
default user folders. I use the image to load a machine, it goes through a
couple of restarts loading driver and changing the computer name etc. After
it finishes loading, login, and the default user no longer has the 3 items,
thus creating a new user doesn't copy the 3 items to a new user.
Can anyone tell me if I'm doing something wrong? I originally tried to just
create the items straight into the default user folder, but that didn't work
either so I tried the custom user copy to default user method and it isn't
working either.
Any help would be appreciated, thank you
