Default sender won't change

I have a personal and a business internet email address
that point to the same POP3 mail host (one is just an
alias of the other). I have setup two accounts in Outlook
2002 so that I can select which email address I send from
(ie (e-mail address removed) or (e-mail address removed)). Each
Outlook account logs onto the POP3 host using the same
userid and password. Regardless of what I set the default
account to in Outlook, my email return address is always
(e-mail address removed). Even deleting the "personal" account
won't force it to use the default. This only seems to
occur when the two accounts point to the same host using
the same userid.

Any ideas what to do here?

What happens when you use the "Account" button in the tool bar of the
Compose window?

I can select either account and/or make it the default,
but regardless of the account selected the "sending"
address always defaults to the account that was installed
first, ie the "business" account. I've checked and
confirmed that each account has a differnet return address
specified, yet even if I delete the business account the
personal account still defaults to the business account's
return email address! It almost looks like some kind of
Win2K profile thing storing the address somewhere

By "retrun address" are you referring to the "E-mail address" in the account
properties box or the "Reply-To" address?
