Is there a way to use command line tool to register the default program that is associated with certain extensions? A software has changed all of my graphics extensions default program and I would like to have Windows Picture and Fax Viewer to re-register...

Right click on the file(s) in question, choose "open with", select WPFV (as you want) as the program to open them. Then check the box, "Always use the selected program to open this kind of file", click "Apply" and "OK" as needed.
