Is there a way to set the default printer to a network
printer for a terminal service session even if the
workstation the user is initiating the terminal service
session from has a local printer?

The user can select the network printer as the default and
it is good for that session. However, when they logoff
and then log back in again the default printer goes back
to the local printer attached to the workstation.

I am having a similar issue that you describe, only we are
using thin cleints which do not have printers. When users
connect, it creates a virtual printer which it always
defaults to. This causes us to have every user check the
printer setting EVERY time they log in. they are unhappy
with that solution
