Persistent Printer Properties

I am using Windows Server 2003 with Terminal Services with all current
hotfixes.

I have a user that has an HP DesignJet 430 E/A0 printer.

I installed the driver version 4.65 from the HP web site onto the Terminal
Server.

When the user prints to the printer (plotter), the output does not print
correctly unless the following option is set:

HP DesignJet 430 E/AP Printer->Properties->General->Printing
Preferences->Advanced->Process Document->In Computer.

The problem is that each time the user establishes a Remote Desktop session
to the Terminal Server the printer is recreated and this setting is reset to
the default value (which causes the output to fail).

Is there a way to have this setting saved so that the user does not need to
set it each time a session is established?

The Windows Server 2003 documentation states that the printer properties are
saved after approximately 30 seconds. I have not found this to be true in
this case. We have left the session open for over an hour before logoff and
the setting is still not saved.

James,

We're having similar problems. I found this information in a later post
that might be part of what we're up against: there are some that do NOT work
