Default Printer keeps changing on start up

Every time I reboot my default printer changes to image writer rather than
one of the other two printers. It doesn't matter how many times I change the
default in "printers and fax" it returns to image writer when I turn the
machine on.

It sounds like there is some setting in "Default Programs" in Control Panel.
Scroll down to the bottom there. a 'protocol' may be using that printer.
There are quite a few apps that use a setting to 'make this the default' on
startup.

If you have an " image writer " installed on your system , you need to
*un-default* it .

If you have an " image writer " installed on your system , you need to
*un-default* it .

This can revert back to the 'Image Writer" if the user accounts that
you generally use is not part of the "administrators" group.
Administrator type accounts can set the default printer perminately
but "limited" type accounts will revert back to the default "set"
default printer.
