Default printer changes in Terminal Server 2000

Jon

The default printer changes in Terminal Server 2000
clients from one day to the next.

This is happening at more than one site.

I also have another problem where printer queues are being
created somehow and these have a session number after the
printer, there is only 4 real printers on this network and
10 clients however the other day there was 20 print queues.

The server has SP4

Thanks.

The queues being created are normal. If you do not want them just disable
printer redirection at the user properties or if you want this to affect
everyone, do it on the RDP-tcp protocol (launch TSCC.MSC and go to RDP-tcp).
The best is to write a script to set the default printer. KIX32
(http://www.kixtart.org) can do it easily.
