For some reason my IE browser has adopted its own default
web page. I have tried everything to get rid of it and yet
it seems to override everything I do from reinstalling to
makeing changes to my registry. I am not sure where it is
coming from. the defualt it keeps changing to is as
follows: http://nkvd.us/1524/....again where it is
getting this I do not know.....any ideas of how to rid
myself of this....again I tried everything I know.

thanks

Hi,

It could be that an advertising program is responsible for the changing of
your start page, and the addition of shortcuts. Some of these programs may not
necessarily be found through a virus scan, so it may be necessary to use a
program such as AdAware to identify and delete the program.

You can download AdAware from:

http://www.lavasoftusa.com/support/download/

Once you download and install the program, ensure that you have updated it
with the latest definition. This will ensure that you will be protected against
the latest versions of such programs.

To ensure removal of other maladies that AdAware may have missed, download
CWShredder:

The following article provides information on how to deal with such
situations, and how to best prevent them.

Together, these resources should help you,

Altrus
