Okay, first, I'm not using Acrobat 7. I have a fill-in document created in
Ariel Font. When I swith from Bold type (Ctrl+B) to unbold (Ctrl+spacebar),
it switches to Courier New. Now I know I can "un-bold" by hitting Ctrl+B
again, but I always end up reverting to the old Ctrl+spacebar. I tried
changing normal.dot but it isn't working. Do I have to delete the document
and make a new one?

Ctrl+Spacebar removes all manual font formatting and returns to the Default
Paragraph Font (see
http://word.mvps.org/FAQs/Customization/DefParaFont.htm). Clearly the DPF of
the style you are using is Courier New. If you want the font to be Arial,
you need to modify the style (see
http://www.shaunakelly.com/word/styles/ModifyAStyle.html)
