Strong versus Bold in DOCX document

Problem: Strong versus Bold in DOCX document

Assume you have a DOCX document.
Normal.dotm has a built-in character style called Strong.
If you select a word and use Ctrl-B, it gives the word the
character style "Style Bold".
Both styles are based on the Default Paragraph font.
It is unclear where you would use Bold as opposed to Strong?

in HTML Strong is bold.
So, the only difference would be wishing to be most compatible with web
pages, in case you want to publish your document as a web page.
In short, no difference.
