Default Email Setup (very newbie-esque)

I just bought a new computer and while browsing the internet I wanted to
write an email by hitting the "contact us" link on the website and a whole
slurry of questions came up. In a futile effort I attempted to set it up so
it will default to my hotmail in the future. Now if I hit a contact us
type link it doesnt work. Obviously, I put in some wrong settings, but now I
cant figure out how to undo what I did. Anyone willing to help a clueless
newbie out here? Where do I reset these settings and what are the CORRECT
settings to get it to default to say my hotmail or yahoo email?

You need to setup Outlook Express for email.
Once done, In Internet Options ensure OE is set as default email app

Sorry, I should have mentioned that I use Netscape. Do you know the
procedure for it? Also, this leads me to another question - I am using
Netscape because I heard that it has better security/privacy etc.. than
Internet Explorer, do you know if that is true?
