Default database

I created a database on a different drive and now have copied it and moved it
to another drive. However under Tools -> Options -> General --> the default
database keeps changing back to the original drive I created it in. I have
changed it to state the drive it is in now....why is this happening?

Those settings (Tools -> Options) are general Access settings and not specific to the current database. So if you change this setting (e.g. from another database) it affects Access in general (all your databases).


This has been an error in Access for years. Access should not require a database to be open to change these settings. Doing so calls into question whether the settings are for Access (all databases) or only the currently open database. Most if not all of these settings are for Access in general (all databases).
