A Toshiba Pro 4200 laptop refuses to work, changed battery and ac adaptor but all I get is the green light for power on and the normal battery lights. The HDD light winks once at switch on and although I can hear The HDD running (not the fan) there is no further response. The CD and floppy lights don't even wink and I get no screen whatsoever.
Am I looking at a fried CPU/MB or both - unfortunately I don't have any history for this laptop as it was given to a friend (you can have it if you can fix it, she was told).
