if you go to the start menu properties right click on the
taskbar/properties then there is a tickbox for show clock.

Flamer.

I'm sorry I didn't word that correctly, I ment to say the clock is showing
but when I move the cursor over the time to see the date, the date is what
is hidding behind the task bar and the clock. The clock is ticked in
properties. and is showing in the task bar. Hope this helps.
Thanks, daj

A well known bug in XP. Logoff/Logon cures it, usually, until the next
time. There is a way to reset this within the current session but I don't
remember how to do that off the top of my head. Maybe someone else will
pipe up here.

Thanks, that worked

Click Start
Click All Programs
Right-click ANY folder OR shortcut that appears ABOVE the taskbar
Click Sort by Name

I had to look it up. It is the best band-aid for the problem.

I don't even bother anymore. The only one that I want to see is the day or
the date and it's easier to just double click the clock.

Well........ I do need to see "Click here to begin" first thing every
morning. 8-)

Rock hunted and pecked:

Tsk...tsk..you can't get that removed?

I wouldn't know about clock issues in XP. I run Vista with the clock gadget
on the desktop...;-)

No, no, no, no, I don't use Vista no more,
I'm tired of waking up on the floor.
No, thank you, please, I don't want your disease,
And then it makes it hard to find the door.
