WinXPSP2

Office 2003

I recently reinstalled everything on a new SATA drive.

Working with my Access Database seems okay. Update and adding
entrees.
Needed to print out some labels so openned up Reports. Have 3.
None with open. I tried to creat a new one and it wouldn't let me
finish it..

I did a repair install of Office, no change. I did a reinstall still
no change.

I put my old drive in, basically the same and it was as usual and I
could open Reports in preview and printed my labels.

Did you install any printer yet?

Access uses the metrics from the printer driver to calculate the report's
layout.

Did you install any printer yet? Yes came printer as before

Okay, its telling me "no printer"
But the printer is working fine otherwise.

Now its strange.

I printed a page from another program, when into Access and it
previewed and printed.

The printer is a hp5100 and has had no problems printing from a
variety of other programs.

Okay: you have definately traced this to a Windows issue with the printers.

Rebooting generally gets the printers back
