most mornings when i start outlook i get a message that it was not closed
property and the program does a data check. so far that have been no data
problems, but i don't get it - I close the program either with the big X in
the upper right corner or sometimes even by using the file - exit command. i
have been using Outlook for years and this is only happening on the computer
with Outlook 2007. what do i need to do so the program is working properly?

Do you shutdown your machine right after exiting Outlook? Many times Outlook
will continue running for a bit after you click the "X" while it performs a
few more actions. You might be powering down a bit too early

Thanks Vince, i have tried that though. there does not seem to be any
consistancy to this. Last night i snyc'd my treo after closing outlook,
played a game of solitaire then turned the computer off......

Check to see if Outlook.EXE is running before you shutdown tonight...

i checked to see if Outlook.EXE was running before i shut down by doing the
control-alt-delt and starting the task manager. It was not running before i
shut down yet this morning i got the same darn message about not being shut
down correctly and it is now doing a data check..... the porgram seems to be
working fine, it locks up every once in a while, like maybe a couple of times
a week, but otherwise i have not noticed other glitches..... Thanks for your
help Vince. -- Debb
