hi heres my problem....
i was wondering what this certain file (.dat) did so i
right clicked and went to opens with. Now i clicked on
windows media player to see if someting would happen but
nothing did, except now the .dat file opens with windows
media player(and it displays the windows media player
logo). now i do not know how to make the file go back to
its original logo (.dat logo). the bigger problem is that
all the other .dat files on my computer are also
affected, and i cannot do system restore anymore. im not
sure what else is not working but i know what i want to
do. "How do i change the .dat files into its original
form where it does not have the media player logo and
where it does not open with windows media player." please
email me at (e-mail address removed). thanks from nisarg
