Windows Messenger is a big part of Windows. When you uninstall it,
you break a lot of things.

Can you give us a list of what it breaks???

I can. Quit top-posting and I will.

That does NOT say 'many' things. You are the one that is wrong.

I had it uninstalled for a couple of years... everything seems to work fine.

Well, here we go:
It breaks Remote Assistance, Whiteboard, and Application Sharing.

Lots vs. Many

Lot - A considerable quantity
Many - A large number of things

It all means the same thing screwball :)

Darn, aren't you afraid of being "Plonked" by the entire community for top
posting this reply??? Thanks for the response, I was not aware of the
effects on these as they are things I normally would not use anyway :)

"A list" doesn't imply a "lot" nor does it imply "many", idiot. It does NOT
mean the same thing.

That's funny... That's two people now that are complaining about what a
piece of Microsoft's software does; in Microsoft's own newsgroups no less...
Gotta love it!

If you don't like the way Microsoft programs their software to operate, then
don't use software made by them... This is the way MS wants it, or they
wouldn't have made it to work this way, period! Go take your meds, and come
back you grow up a little...

Oh, and "GodLikeButHumble" you are NOT...

F

FeMaster

And a third one... If MS didn't want it this way, they wouldn't have
designed it this way...

Plonk away if you must... It's fun listening to all of you complainers
falling into the toilet...

F

FeMaster

This is absolutely hilarious... how many more of you idiots are going to
fall into the toilet?

Plonk, Plonk, Fizz Fizz, oh what an idiot you is...

LMFAO!

Stop picking on Microsoft's software in their own newsgroups, it just not
right...

F

FeMaster

Looking at the times of all the PLONKS after your post, I'd have to say they
are all the same person with no life and nothing better to do than have 100
nicks to post with in the same group... The odds of 7 different people
posting the EXACT same message within 1 minute of each other in so close to
impossible it's not even funny...

I wouldn't worry too much about it... Let them all fall into their
toilets... It's a shitty shame, let me tell you... ;)
