Huh?

Type of DVD (Writable, rewritable, original data or original movie?)
What is on this DVD?

When do the files duplicate? When trying to move, copy or delete? If yes,
it's possible that you're doing this without realizing it. A slight
hesitation or change in pressure on the mouse button can cause an undesired
copy result. Either adjust the sensitivity of the mouse and/or change how
you perform your file operations. Example of changing method: Select files
and press Delete key instead of using right click/delete.

If the files are spontaneously reproducing without any interaction from
you, that screams "virus" infection. Check system thoroughly with an up to
date antivirus program.
