dail up connection box

I have been using msn explorer 7 and internet explorer 6 for some time,
running it on microsoft windows xp home. since i had the pc i have always
done the following in order to connect to the interent, click on msn
explorer, enter my user name and password details, then click sign in, after
which time a dail up connection box would come up, and i would click connect.

The dail up connection box no longer comes up, so i am forced to have to
connect to the internet befor i do the above. How can i get the dail up
connection box back, i have tried to restore my pc, this does not work, even
if i click on internet explorer, this still does not open the dial up
connection box as it once did.

can you help me please?

In Internet Explorer, go to Tools, Internet Options, Connections. Ensure that Always dial my default connection is selected.
