h....mmm....mmm.......
My stomach is in search of .....uhhh....something using a "Perfect Crust".
.....
However, if a mere 'mortal' can do such a 'perfect' thing as this, then
this ends my long journey in my seeking out 'a perfect' crust. But....with
one small 'twist'. I am not only lactose intolerant, but recently diagnsd w/
wheat intolrance. And also have 'low blood sugar'. So , if you happen to bump
into a nother one of them mortals who are nearly , if not, Perfect. Then ,
have them please send the best recipes for such a crust to someone with a
severe desire , and need for something even closely 'resembling' a decent
'crust' to soothe my savage beast of a intestinal tract. Excuse all the
gratutious details. Thanks to you. Sincerely, and Quite flatulant and hungry

You are thoroughly modern and were right on the mark. Disk chkdsk command
prompt fixed the problem. Thank you. I can't live without my Outlook brain on
the road. What would mere mortals like me who can make a perfect pie crust
but don't know our KB's from our cyclic redundancy errors do without whizzes
like you? Is this chkdsk something I should add to my monthly computer
maintenance routine?
Cheers
Nadine

You are doing nothing wrong - that error message usually indicates that there is a bad sector on the drive where the .pst file is stored. Try running chkdsk /r from a command prompt. You will need to close all running programs and reboot.

After furious head scratching, Nadine asked:
| I'm trying to copy my Outlook.pst file to a jump drive so I can put
| it onto my laptop for when I'm on the road working. I keep getting
| this message after it tries copying for several minutes:
|
| Error Copying File or Folder
| Cannot copy outlook: Data Error Cyclic redundancy check
|
| I have Outlook closed (double checked by looking in Task manager)
|
| I have gotten to the source of the file by going through Local
| Settings, Application Data, MIcrosoft, Outlook and then selecting
| Outlook.pst
|
| I have an empty 2 gig jumpdrive for this 896 MB outlook.pst file.
|
| How can I make this work? What am I doing wrong?
