Cyclic Redundancy Error

I bought a new bigger hard drive for my laptop. I need to save all my
settings and emails from outlook. I have an old .pst file from the last time
i had to rebuild the drive. I am able to bring it over just fine. I have
another file called gmail.pst that when I attempt to copy it to my external
drive I get an error that reads: "Cannot copy gmail: data error (cyclic
redundancy error)" Obviously, I use a several gmail accounts and I am hoping
that file can save me having to reset everything and save all my emails.

Thanks,

Scot

Well, technically that was not an answer. Are you saying then, that it IS
something wrong with my drive even though I have not had any other problems
with it? Does this also mean I am just out of luck, or is there something I
can try?

Thanks for your help.
