Cyberlink Power DVD

When I purchased my puter in 2002 It came installed with cyberlink power dvd.
Since about 8 months ago it quit working. I had to take my pc to best buy to
be repaired and I asked them about it too. They said the computer says the
devise is working properly but it does not. Whenever i put in a dvd windows
media player comes up instead of the dvd player. Does anyone know why this is
happening. Does it have something to do with a scsi thing? I dunno.

What happened when you reinstalled Cyberlink Power DVD? Did it not
change the file associations back?

If you do not have the software, your DVD player is hardly likely to work as
a DVD player.. go to this link for some software.. it would appear to be
free..
