is there any way a person can tell if one Word document is cut and pasted to
another? Specifically, can you tell on the second document that the info on
it has been cut and pasted?

Thanks.

It depends - you cant tell that it has been copied directly from a source -
but when I was teaching for example - I could tell if my students copied off
the Internet and pasted in word because they forgot to change fonts and
standard Internet-type bullets etc.

Hope this helps

Certainly nothing definitive, but ...

... if you're looking for plagiarism there might be some giveaways in the
formatting, or ...

... if you're looking for whether document content is a copy of another,
the file creation date and/or the revision number may provide clues.

Thanks!
