Customizing Taskbar - or Not

D

Dave

Least important topic of the day - but drives me nuts -

1)Right Click Start/click Properties/click Taskbar/click Customize
2)Then select among Always Show, Always Hide or Hide When Inactive
What I select seems to have almost nothing to do with what shows up on my
Taskbar.
What am I doing wrong???
Thx
Dave

OK, Bob, I take it you don't know how to make the appropriate selections (in
the NOTIFICATION AREA) apply either

I never bother with attempting to "adjust" them, also what "you set" can
be overridden by the software. Not to mention that should explorer
restart, the icons don't come back unless the software that put them
there restores them. So, all in all, in my view it is an option of
little use or value.
