customizing browser

when I installed an internet connection, it put a lot of buttons in my IE browser window. They are for advertizing mostly. If it will help the ISP is "Netzero". Now even when I connect with another account they are still there. I realy don't mind it except that its always there. #1 how did it do that, and #2 how can I change it back or customize to my own choseing? Thank you for your help

The additional toolbars and buttons can be deleted by editing the registry or using Toolbarcop.
