Customize folders

Hi all,

I have Window Vista. There is a wonderfull short way to customize the view
of folders (Customize -> Folder Type), but there is a lot of folders (the
main one is C:\) where there isn't that customization and it's ugly (I have
C:\ setted as Music folder).

How can I set the folder type for folders don't have the customize tab?
Can I set a folder type as standard for all folders and new folders in my
system except where I want another type?

Thank you

Lucio,

First I would:

* Open Windows Explorer, from the left pane click 'Computer'
* From the right pane, click into C:
* Arrange the column view to your liking or most common column view you use
* Click 'Tools > Folder Options > View tab > click 'Apply to Folders', click
OK
* Close & reopen Windows Explorer
* Click into a folder that you want the column view changed
* Click 'View > Customize this Folder'
* Under 'Use this folder as a template', select a folder view, click OK
* Repeat the last 3 steps for any other folder views you want changed

This will apply the layout for all folders that have Music folder type (C:\
is a Music folder by default), not all folders

* Click 'View > Customize this Folder'
* Under 'Use this folder as a template', select a folder view, click OK

So, Have I to set all folders I want to see as a file layout as music
folder? It's so strange!!
