Customize Current View reverts back to default

I just upgraded from OL 2003 to 2007. I cannot get any of my windows (email,
contacts, etc) to keep the custom view I create. I created custom views on
several folders, but when I leave and come back, they revert back to the
default. I have tried taking the customization off and re-doing it, to no
avail. Reset Current View doesn't seem to be an option, as it is grayed out
(?). I have created a New View and that doesn't work either.

This is very frustrating. It keeps turning on the reading pane, which I
don't want, and changing around all of my columns (fields). It's a mess.

Any thoughts?

Never mind - someone on another board gave me the answer:

Run | Outlook /clearviews

I have the same problem but don't have any idea what cleanviews is. How do I
find what you found so that I can continue to function with this brain dead
Outlook 2007

Oh, I also have the Microsoft abomination called Vista which I think makes a
difference in running cleanview but I can't tell for sure. Botton line, I
need to find out how to fix this problem with Outlook 2007 running in Vista.

Click Start>Run and enter

outlook.exe /cleanviews

Click OK. Make sure you specify the space.
