Outlook 2007 Current View Fields

When I customize my view fields for Outlook 2007 email, the changes do not
take and/or they revert back to the way they were before I customized them or
they take effect for other email folders (sent, drafts, etc.) One example: I
deleted the "header status" when setting my customized views, but it keeps
showing up.
Help?

You should modify the default Messages template if you want changes to apply
to all folder in that view.
