Where can I get some detailed information on setting up a custom menu. I
have yet to ever think about this and find MS's instructions a touch hard to
follow.

This will get you started:

1. Put the following in a standard module:
Function OpenMyForm()
DoCmd.OpenForm "MyForm"
2. Go to View - Toolsbars - Customize
3. In the Customize Dialog Click select the Toolbars Tab
4. Click on New
5. Change Custom1 to the name you want for the Toolbar
6. Click OK
7. Click on the Commands Tab
8. Click and Drag "Custom" onto your new toolbar
9. Right Click on the new "Custom" button
10. Click on Properties in the dialog
11. Highlight "Custom" in Caption and enter the text you want on the button
12. In Action, type in =OpenMyForm() 'be sure to type the = and parantheses
13. Close and Close
14. Drag the new toobar to the top of the screen

There is much more to it than this but once you do this the Help file and
Jeff's links will make sense.
