Custom fields

Yes, use field chooser (right click on a column header to find field
chooser), choose user defined fields, then drag your custom fields up to the
column headers. Then you can click on the header to sort by it.
 
When I do that no data is in the column. At the top of the column it shows
the correct title but there is nothing in the actual column?
 
What kind of data type did you make that field when you created it? Is it
text, a number, etc?
