Cursor wobble with a Wacom Graphire 2?

Hi,

I've had a Wacom Graphire 2 for a while and have noticed a
intermittent cursor wobble when using the mouse, which can be
annoying, especially when you click on a weblink and it doesn't work
because the cursor wobbles off at the the time you click. It's an odd
one, because you move the mouse to one position, and it'll be solid as
rock, move it to another and the wobble appears. I've tried various
solutions to cure it, such as moving possible interfering objects well
away from the tablet. I've also tried updating the drivers to the
latest versions, but no luck.

I don't know when I first noticed it, but it's possible it's always
been there. BUT I have knocked the mouse onto the (carpetted) floor a
couple of times. So just wondering if anyone knows about the Wacom
technology inside the mouse, could I have damaged it, which is causing
this problem? Or is the problem with the tablet itself? And has anyone
else this problem and know a cure, or got a replacement?

I was thinking of requesting a replacement, but I don't want to end up
with a repair bill if it turns out to be something I've done to it.

Thanks

That's better than a bill for something you *haven't* done to it.

It's been several years since I've contacted Wacom about one of their
tablets, but when I did, they were very helpful. Have you tried
contacting them or searching their Knowledge Base?
