With other computers with windows, whenI put the cursor on something and clicked, it went. However, with XP it seems the cursor depresses the "button" but nothing happens until I click again. Even though I havea high powered Dell 8600 machine, with this double clicking, this is a delay and really annoying. I feel I went two steps forward and four back.

You can change this to a single click via control
panel>folder options,it's on the general tab.
