Cursor position on the page

E

Editor Pat

Working with existing documents, when I scroll down the page using the arrow
keys, the cursor will at times go below the bottom edge of the page. Is there
a way to be sure the cursor is always positioned, say 1/2" from the bottom
edge - or always in plain sight? (I work in Page Layout view in Office 2007.)

Thanks.

Try to turn on Office button > Word Options > Advanced > “Use smart
cursoring†(first group of options) and see whether this is what you are
looking for.

When turned on, the insertion point moves as you scroll up or down. When you
press the Left Arrow, Right Arrow, Up Arrow or Down Arrow keys, the insertion
point will be on the page currently in view, not at its position prior to
scrolling.
