Cursor Display is Intermittent and Inconsistent

The "blinking cursor" is displayed intermittently and inconsistently - is
these a setting to change or ? Or is this another bug?
 
What version of Word? What view?
Have you tried Zoom to 500%, then back to your usual setting?
I have found that the cursor can blink like crazy when I change from Show
White Space to Hide White Space (in Print Layout view) BUT only when I am
working in a table that spans the pages. If outside the table, no problem.

Hi Dean,

It is Word 2007 (part of Office 2007) under Vista and I'm typically in Print
Layout View.

I'll try your zoom-out zoom-in suggestion - but other ideas as welcome (as
this will be a lot of extra moves just to see the cursor....
