Not very experienced on PCs I use (enjoy?) the various Windows XP Newsgroups
and related “Search For:†features and do notice one “Subject: Re: Cursor
error when typing in Microsoft XP†in the Windows XP Help and Support
Newsgroup, when used the search key “cursor disappearsâ€. There is given an
advice on the problem, which could give you a lead, although it seems like
the answer more is pointing to a problem with the mouse pointer than yours
cursor. However is the idea of checking the settings of the mouse – and
keyboard valid, and not at least the driver(s) of the latter (or both), in
the case you have replaced any of the units.
I assume you have tried to tie the time of occurrence of your problem to any
updates of program and/or hardware, thus finding a lead towards the
resolution of the disappearing cursor, and have screened this link
