C-A-D does not open Control Panel....it opens Windows Task Manager. You can
right click a vacant area of the Taskbar and select Task Manager to do the
same thing. To test your C-A-D keys for proper function, hit Ctrl-A and see
if it selects all of this text. In a 'reply' post, select some text and hit
the Delete key, did it delete the text? If any of this did not function,
you may have a defective keyboard. BTW, you can access the Control Panel by
clicking on Start>Settings>Control Panel. Or you can go to this search:
http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&q=xp+control+panel+shortcut+keys and
find out how to set up shortcut keys to open the Control Panel.

Ctrl and Delete both work. Sorry I ment the Task manager. I can't access the
task manager from the tool bar either. The menue will pop up but I select it
and nothing happens.
