Ctrl alt delete

When I press ctrl alt delete I get the task thing open (can't remember its
proper name) but the tabs at the top where you get processes, users and
applications is missing. Even the X to close it is gone. I have rebooted but
it hasn't made the slightest difference. Does anybody know how to get it
back to how it was?

TIA

Maybe, since you posed a question for assistance, you should close your
request by providing how you figured out and fixed your problem as well.....
as a courtesy..

Yes. You're running in what's called "Small Footprint Mode." To change back
and forth from this mode to regular mode, just double-click on the border.
Almost certainly you got there by doing this inadvertently

By the way, for future reference, you can close a program without clicking
on the "X." Just right click it on the task bar and choose "Close."
