CTRL ALT DELETE FEATURE

I set my computer up a few months ago to keep my kids from going into my
laptop. Now I can't remember the password I used and can't get into it!! Is
there anything I can do at this point?
 
On start up,tap the F8 key,select at info screen "safe mode with networking"
then enter as administrator,in xp,delete the password from account,or create
new account,etc...
