Ctrl+Alt+Del doesn't work in Windows XP Professional

I have an installation of XP Professional at home, and was
hoping that an upgrade to SP2 would solve the problem that
I have when pressing Ctrl+Alt+Del. - After the Ctrl+Alt is
pressed I only receive a "beep" at one second intervals,
and the Del has no effect.
- Any ideas ?
