Although this are very basic responses, they are a start. I have tried
ctl-alt esc and it does not work. We can rule that out.

When I type in taskmgr and "run", I get an error message that "Another
program is currently using this file."

I have tried using system restore and I get a message that says "it can't
restore my computer to the current restore point".

When I push the ctl-alt-del keys, nothing happens.

My next step is to run the xp repair from my xp installation disk.

The current restore point is now. Try using an earlier date.

Right-click on the taskbar and choose Task Manager.

Try another keyboard.
