csrss.exe

Hi all,

I have two instances of csrss.exe running in processes under Task Manager.
I am running Windows Vista Home Premium. I have searched high and low and
can't get a good answer as to whether or not one of them is a virus or
spyware. I have tried to end both of the processes but both of them just
crash my computer. Neither one of them comes up and says it is a critical
system process that cannot be terminated. I have scanned with a couple of
antivirus programs and spyware programs but none of them found anything.
PLEASE HELP!!!! Thank you.

No, It Is not A Virus, It Is Just Another One Of Those Wonder Full
Microsoft Windows Back Ground Services That Is Designed To Waste As Much
Of You System RAM As Possible, Just FYI. Here's A Tip: Switch To Linux,

Hi,

They are normal, and when processes from all users are shown you may see
more than two. The file should be located under C:\Windows\system32, one
found running from elsewhere on the system would indicate a virus.

As well, note that if you turn on the session id column in task manager,
you'll see that the two are running under difference sessions, namely 0 and
1 (for a single logged in user).
