Crysis config - Two displays

M

Martull

Hi!!!

I have just installed Vista and I would like to know the perfect config to
play the game smoothly with my system:

Vista Business
Asus blitz extreme mobo
Intel core 2 duo E650 @ 3.00 GHz
2 GB RAM
nvidia 8800 ULTRA :)

I am playing the game in a Full HD LCD at 1920x1080 but, and I do not know
if it is important, the graphics card is also connected to a small
touch-screen
http://www.silverstonetek.com/products/p_contents.php?pno=lc18&area=usa
with a maximun resolution that is under 1920x1080, so when I play the game
the screen doesn't display anything.... Does this two-screen config affect
performance? Even when nothing is displayed on the second screen... Should I
disconnect the two-display comfig at the Nvidia Control Panel everytime I
want to play?

Thanks,
Martull @ madrid

hi!

don't even think about crysis in full-hd. start at 1024x768 (with very-high
quality-settings if you have at least a geforce 8xxx) otherwise chose high
or medium quality ;) even a high-end-system couldn't handle crysis in
full-hd nowadays at acceptable quality & framerates.

Its a challenge to get it running on one screen as it is. On two screens no
go. I have an E6850 and 8800gtx and run it on a 22in screen at 1680x1050. I
have settings on high except for shaders, shadows & postprocessing quality
on medium and it runs great. Also AA off
