Cross reference showing too much

I created a title with text before the automatic number (e.g: Annex 1 - ).

When I cross reference, it appears (Annex 1 -) and not (Annex 1).
I tried changing the "-" to a dot (Annex 1.), but the problem persists.

I could avoid the use of the dash or dot if the title allowed a paragraph,
but when I put Shift + Enter, there's a box instead of the desired paragraph.

Thank you in advance for any replies.

If you want Annex 1 to be on one line and the title on the line below, you
can insert the line break in the paragraph yourself. Select "nothing" as the
choice to follow the number (instead of tab or space). Create a new
paragraph (with the Annex # numbering, and immediately press Shift+Enter,
then type your title.

Thanks a lot, Ms. Suzanne, we're always learning. So, I assume there's no way
to have the title to insert the Shift+Enter automatically?

Unfortunately, no. You might post this as a Suggestion for Microsoft,
suggesting that "line break" be added to the existing options (space, tab,
nothing).

Thanks again. I not sure about suggesting: if no one thought of it yet, maybe
they don't think it's too important.

Many users need this functionality. If you posted it as a suggestion, I
suspect many would vote for it.

First, I must learn how to post a suggestion... But I'm counting on your vote!

In the forum where you are posting, when you choose to post a new post

Oh, now I see. I had to change to English, in my native language there are
only two options (Question and General Comment).
